So use it then, all this fine energy,
And drive along the work of poetry,
To show how we are driven in Love’s play.
By chance we meet, we feel, we stay,
And bit by bit we’re tightly bound:
Happiness grows, and then it’s fenced around:
We’re all inflamed then comes the sorrowing:
Before you know it, there’s a novel brewing!

Шундай экан, демак, илҳомни чоғланг! 
Ўшал сеҳрингизни кўрсатинг, наби. 
Ҳодисалар ипин тезгина боғланг 
Муҳаббат риштасин боғлаган каби. 
Ахир севгида ҳам шу бўлур такрор, 
Тасодиф учрашув, дўстлик, сўнг оҳ-воҳ, 
Уришиш, ярашиш, бўса ва никоҳ. 

Ёшлик, азиз дўстим, жангларда керак,
Душман ҳамла қилса у берур сабот.
Жононлар бўйнингга солсаю билак,
Ўзинг кекса бўлсанг — ундан сўр нажот.
Ёшлик керак бўлур маррага қадар —
Лаҳзаларни қучиб югурган чоғинг.
Май ичиб, шод бўлиб то оппоқ саҳар
Суронли даврада ўлтирган чоғинг.
Ва лекин рубобнинг торин чертмоққа,
Ўрганган оҳангинг қилмоққа такрор,
Сўз билан дилларни асир этмоққа.
Азизим, аксинча, кексалик даркор.
Дерларки, кексалик келгач доимо
Болалик қайтармиш, ҳайрон қоламиз,
Аслида ҳаммамиз ўлгунгача то
Оламдан ғофилмиз — гўдак боламиз.

Youth is what you need, dear friend,
When enemies jostle you, of course,
And girls, filled with desire, bend
Their arms around your neck, with force,
When the swift-run race’s garland
Beckons from the hard-won goal,
When from the swirling dance, a man
Drinks until the night is old.
But to play that well-known lyre
With courage and with grace,
Moved by self-imposed desire,
At a sweet wandering pace,
That is your function, Age,
And our respect won’t lessen.
Age doesn’t make us childish, as they say,
It finds that we’re still children.

28. And when he saw that his shirt was torn from the back, he said, “This is a woman's scheme. Your scheming is serious indeed.”

31. And when she heard of their gossip, she invited them, and prepared for them a banquet, and she gave each one of them a knife. She said, “Come out before them.” And when they saw him, they marveled at him, and cut their hands. They said, “Good God, this is not a human, this must be a precious angel.”

33. He said, “My Lord, prison is more desirable to me than what they call me to. Unless You turn their scheming away from me, I may yield to them, and become one of the ignorant.”

«Эй Роббим, улар мени чорлаётган нарсадан кўра мен учун қамоқ маҳбуброқдир, бу(аёл)ларнинг макрини мендан Ўзинг нари қилмасанг, уларга мойил бўлиб, жоҳиллардан бўлиб қоламан», деди.

34. Thereupon his Lord answered him, and diverted their scheming away from him. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

Бас, Робби унинг (дуосини) ижобат қилиб, уларнинг макрини ундан нари қилди. Албатта, Унинг ўзи эшитгувчи ва билгувчи зотдир.

50. The king said, “Bring him to me.” And when the envoy came to him, he said, “Go back to your master, and ask him about the intentions of the women who cut their hands; my Lord is well aware of their schemes.”

Подшоҳ: «Уни менга келтиринглар», деди. Унга элчи келган пайтда: «Хўжанг ҳузурига қайтиб бор ва ундан қўлларини кесган хотинларнинг ҳоли нима бўлганини сўра, албатта, Роббим уларнинг макрини билгувчидир», деди.

52. “This is that he may know that I did not betray him in secret, and that God does not guide the scheming of the betrayers.”

Бу мен унга йўғида орқасидан хиёнат қилмаганимни, албатта, Аллоҳ хоинларнинг макрини тўғриликка йўлламаслигини билиши учундир.

102. This is news from the past that We reveal to you. You were not present with them when they plotted and agreed on a plan.

Бу ғайб хабарлардан бўлиб, уни сенга ваҳий қилмоқдамиз. Улар макр қилиб, ишлари ҳақида гап бириктирганларида олдиларида бўлмаган эдинг.

He seems to me, saving Your Grace,
Like a long-legged grasshopper: through space
He's always flying: he flies and then he springs,
And in the grass the same old song he sings.

Кечир, гарчи унга бердинг башар от, 
Аммо яшаётир мисли ҳашарот. 
Худди чигирткадек хас-чўплар аро 
Гоҳ учар, гоҳ сакрар, гоҳ тузар наво. 

45. Do those who scheme evils feel secure that God will not cause the earth to cave in with them, or that the punishment will not come upon them from where they do not perceive?

45Макр ила ёмонликлар қилганлар, Аллоҳ уларни ерга ютқазиб юборишидан ёки уларга кутмаган томонларидан азоб келиб қолишидан хотиржам бўлдиларми?!
