According to the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan, adopted in August 2022, the American diplomat was awarded the honorary state award of Uzbekistan – Dustlik (‘Friendship’) Order.

Ўзбекистон Республикаси Президентининг жорий йил август ойида қабул қилинган фармонига мувофиқ америкалик дипломат мамлакатимизнинг юксак давлат мукофоти – “Дўстлик” орденига сазовор бўлди.

The Comprehensive Plan for the Implementation of the Treaty on Long-term Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation, which is being adopted today, is aimed precisely at these goals.

Бугун қабул қилинаётган Узоқ муддатли яхши қўшничилик, дўстлик ва ҳамкорлик тўғрисидаги шартномани амалга ошириш бўйича комплекс режа айнан шу мақсадларга қаратилган.

254. O you who believe! Spend from what We have given you, before a Day comes in which there is neither trading, nor friendship, nor intercession. The disbelievers are the wrongdoers.

254Эй иймон келтирганлар! Сизга ризқ қилиб берган нарсаларимиздан, на олди­ сотди, на ошна-­оғайничилик ва на шафоатчилик йўқ кун келмасдан олдин нафақа қилинг. Ва кофирлар–ўшалар, золимлардир.

Where Love and Friendship too grace our hearts,
Created and inspired by heavenly arts.
Ah! What springs here from our deepest being,
What the shy trembling lips in speaking meant,
Now falling awry, and now perhaps succeeding,
Is swallowed in the fierce Moment’s violence.
Often, when the first years are done, unseeing,
It appears at last, complete, in deepest sense.
What dazzles is a Momentary act:
What’s true is left for posterity, intact.

Илоҳий сукутдан топурман сурур.
Юрак ўз тубида ардоқлаган ҳис,
Лабда қанот ёзмоқ бўлган туйғулар
Ташна кўнгилларда қолдирмаёқ из
Замон суронида дарҳол бўғилар.
Бас, ўйлар тошқинин тиндиролсак биз,
Мукаммал гўзаллик шунда туғилар.
Жилванинг умридур бир лаҳза фақат,
Авлодларга қолур ҳақиқий санъат.

The year 2023 has been successful for our country and its people. Most importantly, peace and tranquility reigned in the country, along with an atmosphere of inter-ethnic friendship and harmony.
