My mother went to find my commission, which she kept in a box with my christening clothes, and gave it to my father with, a trembling hand.  Онам болалигимда кийгизиб чўқинтирилган куйлагим турган турган сандиқчасини титиб, паспортимни топди ва қўли қалтираб отамга узатди.

At last he finished his letter, put it with my commission into the same cover, took off his spectacles, called me, and said--  "This letter is addressed to Andréj Karlovitch R., my old friend and comrade. Ундан ўзга авлиё­дўстлар тутганлар: «Биз уларга фақат бизларни Аллоҳга жуда ҳам яқин қилишлари учунгина ибодат қилурмиз», (дерлар). Албатта, У зот улар орасида ихтилоф этаётган нарсалар бўйича ҳукм қилур. Албатта, Аллоҳ ёлғончи ва кофир кимсаларни ҳидоят қилмас.
4. If God wanted to have a son, He could have selected from His creation at will. Glory be to Him. He is God, the One, the Prevailing. 4Агар Аллоҳ бола тутишни истаса, албатта, Ўзи яратган нарсалардан хоҳлаганини танлаб олар эди. У зот покдир. У якка ва ўта қаҳрли Аллоҳдир.
8. When some adversity touches the human being, he prays to his Lord, repenting to Him. But then, when He confers on him a grace of His, he forgets what he was praying for before, and he attributes rivals to God, in order to lead astray from His way. Say, “Enjoy your disbelief for a little while; you will be among the inmates of the Fire.” 8Қачонки инсонни зарар тутса, Роббига тавба қилган ҳолида дуо қиладир. Сўнгра унга Ўз фазлидан неъмат берса, олдин дуо қилиб турган нарсасини унутадир ва Аллоҳга Унинг йўлидан адаштирмоқ учун тенгдошлар қилади. Сен: «Куфринг билан бир оз ҳузурланиб тур. Албатта, сен жаҳаннам эгаларидансан», деб айт.
9. Is he who worships devoutly during the watches of the night, prostrating himself and standing up, mindful of the Hereafter, and placing his hope in the mercy of his Lord? Say, “Are those who know and those who do not know equal?” Only those possessed of reason will remember. 9Йўқса, у кечалари ибодат қилиб, сажда этган, бедор ҳолида охиратдан қўрқиб, Робби раҳматидан умидвор бўлган одамга тенгми?! Сен: «Биладиганлар билан билмайдиганлар тенг бўлармиди?!» деб айт. Албатта, ақл эгаларигина эсларлар.
11. Say, “I was commanded to serve God, devoting my religion exclusively to Him. 11Сен: «Албатта, мен динни Ўзи учун холис қилган ҳолимда Аллоҳга ибодат этишимга буюрилганман.
14. Say, “It is God I worship, sincere in my faith in Him.” 14Сен: «Динимни Ўзига холис қилган ҳолимда Аллоҳгагина ибодат қилурман.
16. They will have layers of Fire above them, and layers beneath them. That is how God strikes fear into His servants—“O My servants! Beware of Me!” 16Улар учун тепаларидан ҳам оловдан «соябонлар» бор, остларидан ҳам оловдан «соябонлар» бор. Бу билан Аллоҳ Ўз бандаларини қўрқитур: «Эй бандаларим, менга тақво қилинглар!»
19. What about someone who has deserved the sentence of punishment? Is it you who can save those in the Fire? 19Ёки ҳақида азоб сўзи ҳақ бўлган кимсани— дўзахдаги кимсани сен қутқара олурмисан?!
20. But those who fear their Lord will have mansions upon mansions, built high, with streams flowing beneath them. The promise of God; and God never breaks a promise. 20Лекин Роббиларига тақво қилганлар учун болохоналар устидан болохоналар бино қилингандир. Остларидан анҳорлар оқиб турур. Аллоҳнинг ваъдаси шу! Аллоҳ ваъдага хилоф қилмас.
21. Have you not considered how God sends down water from the sky, then He makes it flow into underground wells, then He produces with it plants of various colors, then they wither and you see them yellowing, then He turns them into debris? Surely in this is a reminder for those with understanding. 21Аллоҳ осмондан сув тушириб, уни ердаги манбаълардан юритиб қўйганини кўрмадингми?! Сўнгра у ила турли рангдаги экинларни чиқарур. Кейин у қурийдир. Бас, уни сарғайган ҳолида кўрарсан. Сўнгра уни қуруқ чўпга айлантирур. Албаттта, бунда ақл эгалари учун эслатма бордир.
