| The Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and his deputies shall be elected by a majority of votes of the total number of deputies by secret ballot for the term of powers of the Legislative Chamber. | Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг Қонунчилик палатаси Спикери ва унинг ўринбосарлари яширин овоз бериш орқали депутатлар умумий сонининг кўпчилик овози билан Қонунчилик палатасининг ваколати муддатига сайланади. |

| The Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall: | Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг Қонунчилик палатаси Спикери: |
| 1) convoke sittings of the Legislative Chamber, preside at them; | 1) Қонунчилик палатасининг мажлисларини чақиради, уларда раислик қилади; |
| 2) exercise the general direction over a preliminary review of matters to be submitted for consideration by the Legislative Chamber; | 2) Қонунчилик палатаси муҳокамасига киритиладиган масалаларни тайёрлашга умумий раҳбарлик қилади; |
| 3) coordinate the work of the committees and commissions of the Legislative Chamber; | 3) Қонунчилик палатаси қўмиталари ва комиссияларининг фаолиятини мувофиқлаштириб боради; |
| 4) organize the control over the implementation of laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan and resolutions of the Legislative Chamber; | 4) Ўзбекистон Республикаси қонунларининг ва Қонунчилик палатаси қарорларининг ижроси устидан назоратни ташкил этади; |
| 5) direct the work on interparliamentary relations and the activity of the groups of the Legislative Chamber connected with the work of international parliamentary organizations; | 5) парламентлараро алоқаларни амалга ошириш ишларига ҳамда халқаро парламент ташкилотлари иши билан боғлиқ Қонунчилик палатаси гуруҳларининг фаолиятига раҳбарлик қилади; |
| 6) represent the Legislative Chamber in interrelation with the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, other state bodies, foreign states, international and other organizations; | 6) Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг Сенати, бошқа давлат органлари, чет давлатлар, халқаро ва ўзга ташкилотлар билан ўзаро муносабатларда Қонунчилик палатаси номидан иш кўради; |
| 7) sign resolutions of the Legislative Chamber; | 7) Қонунчилик палатаси қарорларини имзолайди; |
| The Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall issue ordinances. | Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг Қонунчилик палатаси Спикери фармойишлар чиқаради. |
| 5) direct the work on interparliamentary relations and the activity of the groups of the Senate connected with the work of international parlia¬mentary organizations; | 5) парламентлараро алоқаларни амалга ошириш ишларига ҳамда халқаро парламент ташкилотлари иши билан боғлиқ Сенат гуруҳларининг фаолиятига раҳбарлик қилади; |
| 6) represent the Senate in interrelation with the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, other state bodies, foreign states, international and other organizations; | 6) Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг Қонунчилик палатаси, бошқа давлат органлари, чет давлатлар, халқаро ва бошқа ташкилотлар билан ўзаро муносабатларда Сенат номидан иш кўради; |
| The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the term of its powers shall elect from among deputies of the Legislative Chamber the committees for drafting laws, preliminary consideration and preparation of matters to be submitted to the Legislative Chamber, control over the implementation of laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan and decisions to be adopted by the Legislative Chamber. | Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг Қонунчилик палатаси қонун лойиҳаларини тайёрлаш ишини олиб бориш, Қонунчилик палатаси муҳокамасига киритиладиган масалаларни дастлабки тарзда кўриб чиқиш ва тайёрлаш, Ўзбекистон Республикаси қонунлари ҳамда Қонунчилик палатаси томонидан қабул қилинадиган қарорларнинг ижросини назорат қилиш учун ўз ваколатлари муддатига Қонунчилик палатаси депутатлари орасидан қўмиталарни сайлайди. |
| The Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in case of necessity for the implementation of concrete tasks, shall organize commissions from among deputies, senators. | Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг Қонунчилик палатаси ва Сенати, зарурат бўлган тақдирда, муайян вазифаларни бажариш учун депутатлар, сенаторлар орасидан комиссиялар тузади. |
| Deputies of the Legislative Chamber and members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the established procedure, shall receive compensation of expenses connected with their deputy or senator activities. | Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг Қонунчилик палатаси депутатларига ва Сенати аъзоларига уларнинг депутатлик ёки сенаторлик фаолияти билан боғлиқ харажатлар белгиланган тартибда қопланади. |
| Deputies of the Legislative Chamber and members of the Senate, working in the Senate on a permanent basis for the period of their powers, may not be engaged in other paid activity except for research and pedagogical. | Қонунчилик палатаси депутатлари ҳамда Сенатда доимий асосда ишловчи Сенат аъзолари ўз ваколатлари даврида илмий ва педагогик фаолиятдан ташқари ҳақ тўланадиган бошқа турдаги фаолият билан шуғулланишлари мумкин эмас. |
| A deputy of the Legislative Chamber and a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall have the right of immunity. They may not be brought to criminal responsibility, arrested or subject to measures of administrative penalty imposed in the judicial order, without the consent accordingly of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate. | Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг Қонунчилик палатаси депутати ва Сенати аъзоси дахлсизлик ҳуқуқидан фойдаланадилар. | The President shall be regarded as having assumed office upon taking an oath of the following content at sitting of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan: | Президент Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлиси йиғилишида қуйидаги қасамёдни қабул қилган пайтдан бошлаб ўз лавозимига киришган ҳисобланади: |
| 8) ensure interaction of the supreme bodies of authority and administration of the Republic; form and abolish, upon the submission of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ministries, state committees and other bodies of state administration with subsequent submission of decrees on these matters for approval by the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan; | 8) республика олий ҳокимият ва бошқарув органларининг баҳамжиҳат ишлашини таъминлайди; вазирликлар, давлат қўмиталари ҳамда давлат бошқарувининг бошқа органларини Ўзбекистон Республикаси Вазирлар Маҳкамасининг тақдимига биноан тузади ва тугатади, шу масалаларга доир фармонларни кейинчалик Ўзбекистон Республикаси Олий Мажлисининг палаталари тасдиғига киритади; |
