He sat back and drew forth a pipe. He looked into it with sharp scrutiny, and tapped it emptily on his open palm. He turned the hair-seal tobacco pouch inside out and dusted the lining, treasuring carefully each flake and mite of tobacco that his efforts gleaned. The result was scarce a thimbleful. He searched in his pockets, and brought forward, between thumb and forefinger, tiny pinches of rubbish. Here and there in this rubbish were crumbs of tobacco. These he segregated with microscopic care, though he occasionally permitted small particles of foreign substance to accompany the crumbs to the hoard in his palm. He even deliberately added small, semi-hard woolly fluffs, that had come originally from the coat lining, and that had lain for long months in the bottoms of the pockets. 74. Then, after him, We sent messengers to their people. They came to them with the clear proofs, but they would not believe in anything they had already rejected. Thus We set a seal on the hearts of the hostile. 74Сўнгра ундан кейин Пайғамбарларни қавмларига юбордик. Бас, улар очиқ­ ойдин ҳужжатлар ила келдилар. Аммо у(қавм)лар олдин ёлғонга чиқарган нарсаларига иймон келтирувчи бўлмадилар. Тажовузкорларнинг қалбига шундай қилиб муҳр босамиз.
108. It is they whom God has sealed their hearts, and their hearing, and their sight. It is they who are the heedless. 108Ана ўшаларнинг қалблари, қулоқлари ва кўзларига Аллоҳ муҳр босгандир. Ана ўшалар ғофиллардир.

65. On this Day, We will seal their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify to everything they had done. 65Бугунги кунда уларнинг оғизларига муҳр урамиз. Нима касб қилганларини Бизга қўллари сўзлар ва оёқлари гувоҳлик берур.
35. Those who argue against God’s revelations, without any proof having come to them—a heinous sin in the sight of God, and of those who believe. Thus God seals the heart of every proud bully. 35Аллоҳнинг оятлари ҳақида ўзларига келган ҳужжат­далилсиз талашиб­ тортишадиганлар Аллоҳ томонидан ҳам, иймон келтирганлар томонидан ҳам қаттиқ ғазабга қолурлар. Аллоҳ шундай қилиб, ҳар бир мутакаббир ва зўровон қалбни муҳрлар», деди. 
24. Or do they say, “He forged a lie about God.” If God so willed, He could have sealed your heart. But God obliterates the false, and confirm the true by His Words. He knows what is in the hearts. 24Ёки улар: «У (Муҳаммад) Аллоҳга нисбатан ёлғон тўқиди», дейдиларми?! Бас, агар Аллоҳ хоҳласа, қалбингга муҳр босур ва Аллоҳ Ўз сўзлари ила ботилни йўқ қилиб, ҳақни ҳақ қилур. Албатта, у диллардаги нарсани ўта билгувчидир.
23. Have you considered him who has taken his desire for his god? God has knowingly led him astray, and has sealed his hearing and his heart, and has placed a veil over his vision. Who will guide him after God? Will you not reflect? 23Айтинг­чи, ҳавои нафсини илоҳ қилиб олган, Аллоҳ уни билиб туриб залолатга солган ва қулоғига ҳамда қалбига муҳр босиб, кўзига парда тортиб қўйган кимсани Аллоҳдан бошқа ким ҳидоят қила олади?! Эсламайсизларми?! 
16. Among them are those who listen to you, but when they leave your presence, they say to those given knowledge, “What did he say just now?” Those are they whose hearts God has sealed, and they follow their own desires. 16Ва улардан сенга қулоқ осадиганлари бор. Ҳузурингдан чиққанларида эса, илм берилганларга: «Ҳали у нима деди?» дерлар. Ана ўшалар қалбларига Аллоҳ тамға босганлар ва ҳавои нафсларига эргашганлардир.
