For three decades, on World Press Freedom Day, the international community has celebrated the work of journalists and media workers.

Mana o'ttiz yildirki, xalqaro hamjamiyat jurnalistlar va ommaviy axborot vositalari xo-dimlari faoliyatini Jahon matbuoti erkinligi kunida nishonlab kelmoqda.

This day highlights a basic truth: all our freedom depends on press freedom. Ushbu kun “bizning erkinligimiz matbuot erkinligiga bog'liq” kabi oddiy haqiqatni anglashga imkon beradi.
Freedom of the press is the foundation of democracy and justice. It gives all of us the facts we need to shape opinions and speak truth to power. And as this year’s theme reminds us, press freedom represents the very lifeblood of human rights. Matbuot erkinligi demokratiya va adolat asosidir. U bizga fikrlarni shakllantirish uchun kerakli bo’lgan aniq faktlarni beradi. Bu yilgi mavzu esa matbuot erkinligi inson huquqlari uchun nihoyatda muhim ekanligini barchamizga yana bir bor eslatadi.
But in every corner of the world, freedom of the press is under attack. Shu bilan birga matbuot erkinligi dunyoning har bir burchagida hujumga uchramoqda.
The increased concentration of the media industry into the hands of a few, the financial collapse of scores of independent news organizations, and an increase of national laws and regulations that stifle journalists are further expanding censorship and threatening freedom of expression.    Mediaindustriyaning bir necha kishilar qo‘lida jamlanishi, o‘nlab mustaqil axborot tashkilotlarining moliyaviy inqirozga uchrashi, jurnalistikani bo‘g‘uvchi milliy qonun va qoidalarning ko‘payishi senzurani yanada kuchaytirib, so‘z erkinligiga yanada ko’proq tahdid solmoqda.
At least 67 media workers were killed in 2022 — an unbelievable 50 per cent increase over the previous year. Nearly three quarters of women journalists have experienced violence online, and one in four have been threatened physically. 2022-yilda kamida 67 nafar ommaviy axborot vositalari xodimi o’ldirildi. Bu esa o‘tgan yilga nisbatan 50 foizga ko‘p degani. Ayol jurnalistlarning qariyb to'rtdan uch qismi onlayn zo'ravonlikka, har to'rtdan biri esa jismoniy tahdidga uchrashgan.
On this and every World Press Freedom Day, the world must speak with one voice. Ushbu kunda va kelgusi Jahon matbuot erkinligi kunlarida dunyo hamjihatlikda harakat qilishi kerak.

26. Pharaoh said, “Leave me to kill Moses, and let him appeal to his Lord. I fear he may change your religion, or spread disorder in the land.” 26Фиръавн: «Мени қўйинглар, Мусони ўлдирай. Майли, Роббига дуо қилсин. Албатта, мен унинг динингизни алмаштиришидан ва ер юзида фасод чиқаришидан қўрқмоқдаман», деди. 
29. O my people! Yours is the dominion today, supreme in the land; but who will help us against God’s might, should it fall upon us?” Pharaoh said, “I do not show you except what I see, and I do not guide you except to the path of prudence.” 29Эй қавмим, бугунги кунда мулк сизникидир. Ер юзида юзага чиқиб турибсизлар. Агар бизга Аллоҳнинг азоби келса, унда бизга ким ёрдам беради?!» деди. Фиръавн: «Мен сизга ўзим кўраётган нарсадан бошқани кўрсатмасман ва сизларни тўғри йўлдан бошқага йўлламасман», деди. 
67. It is He who created you from dust, then from a seed, then from an embryo, then He brings you out as an infant, then He lets you reach your maturity, then you become elderly—although some of you die sooner—so that you may reach a predetermined age, so that you may understand. 67У сизни тупроқдан, сўнгра нутфадан, сўнгра (ёпишқоқ) лахта қондан яратган зотдир. Сўнгра У сизни бувак ҳолингизда чиқарур. Сўнгра камолга етишингиз учун, қари бўлишингиз учун (улғайтирур). Сизнинг ичингизда ундан олдин вафот этадиганлар ҳам бўлур. (Булар) белгиланган ажалга етишингиз учундир. Шоядки ақл юритсангиз. 
17. And as for Thamood, We guided them, but they preferred blindness over guidance. So the thunderbolt of the humiliating punishment seized them, because of what they used to earn. 17Аммо Самуд бўлса, бас, Биз уларни ҳидоят қилдик. Улар эса, ҳидоятдан кўра кўрликни афзал кўрдилар. Бас, касб қилган нарсалари туфайли уларни хорлик азоби чақмоғи урди.
22. You were unable to hide yourselves from your hearing, and your sight, and your skins, to prevent them from testifying against you, and you imagined that God was unaware of much of what you do. 22Сиз ўзингизга қарши қулоғингиз, кўзларингиз ва териларингиз гувоҳлик беришларидан яширинмас эдингиз. Лекин Аллоҳ қилаётган амалларингизнинг кўпини билмайди, деб гумон қилар эдингиз.
26. Those who disbelieve say, “Do not listen to this Quran, and talk over it, so that you may prevail.” 26Куфр келтирганлар: «Бу Қуръонга қулоқ солманглар, унга халақит беринг, шоядки ғолиб бўлсангиз», дедилар.
